Gabriela is starting to mellow out just a bit. Still our fiesty-no fear-crazy kid, but I'm not wanting to pull out my hair every day anymore :)
I was pleasantly surprised last week to find that Gabriela was in her room reading one of her favorite books to her baby. (Whenever I don't hear anything from her for more than 5 minutes, it's usually not a good sign)
Last Saturday we went to Wrightsville Beach with all the youth in our ward and had a blast. Gabriela thought that the ocean was a giant pool and was sooo excited! She was proving to be too brave, so we let the waves knock her down a couple of times to try and instill some fear in her and it kind of worked. She stayed on the beach playing with the sand for a long time and then kept asking me out to take her deep so we could jump the waves. She loved it!
Today we had an ultrasound and the baby was very active, but kept the legs closed until the very end, making us very anxious! Turns out we're having another girl. We are all excited that the baby is very healthy-all organs looked perfectly formed. It took a long time to measure everything and get a good look though, because this baby is so active! Looks like Gabriela will have a partner in crime :)
Brendan was disappointed until we pointed out that he would always have his own room and no younger sibling to mess up all his toys (his one pet peeve about Gabriela!).
Now it's time to play the name game. I like to think of names, but am in no rush and usually wait until the end and Danny wants to start thinking of names now, so, that doesn't go over very well :) Oh well.
21 weeks to go...
