The weather got really warm, mid 80's!!, so I took the little ones to the pool after Gabriela's dance class at the Y, and swam! Gabriela hasn't been in the water since September, but it only took 10 minutes and she was good to go, swimming on her own. Emalyn was a little cold, but loved it!
Gabriela was quiet for some time, (always a bad sign!) and I found her doing her hair in the bathroom-phew! She was up on her tippy-toes, looking into the mirror, and grinning! What a cutie :)
A couple of weeks ago, a friend of mine invited me to go to the Desert Museum w/her & her kids. We all had a blast! I haven't been there for years, & Gabriela & Emalyn had never been, so it was fun to see it all. The kids had so much energy, had a great time, and then SLEPT all the way home! 
We FINALLY got some pictures of her! Poor kid had a black eye for awhile, then scratches because I forgot to clip her nails! They turned out ok.

I forgot to strip her down for dinner - she thoroughly enjoyed her berries though!!
So one day when we were leaving the house to run errands, I had Emalyn in one arm and hit the garage door opener w/the other. Gabriela ran ahead of me and as the garage door was rising, she grabbed on! I stood there and just watched quietly to see if she would freak out or love it... The door went higher and higher and started to groan and slow as it got to the top. I waited and Gabriela was just dangling (she couldn't see me because I was behind her). She finally said, "mom??" I tried so hard to not laugh and simply asked, "yes?" Gabriela stated, "um, I'm stuck". I got her down and asked how she was and she said, "i was a little bit nervous". The rest of the day she couldn't stop talking about her "fun ride" to everyone she met! What a crazy kid!! 
We have an automatic door on the van and she LOVES to go for a "ride" while it slowly opens and shuts!

Brendan took Emalyn outside to play while Gabriela and I worked on her cake and getting ready for the party.
Emalyn didn't know what to do with the candle, so Gabriela and I blew it out for her.
Danny's parents gave Emalyn a swing and the kids were all way excited to get it set up! I hope they realize that it is just for her :)
My parents gave Ema this toy that all of the kids loved! Mostly having to do with the noise/songs I believe :) Brendan showed her how it worked and she watched very intently!

Poor Emalyn was SO tired by the end! She usually goes to bed between 7-7:30pm, and we started the party at 7:15pm, so it was nearing 8pm when she got her cake. She was so sleepy; I don't think she was too interested in her cake at that point :) Too cute.
