Our boys

Brendan tuned 12 this month and in our church, it's kind of a big deal. He leaves the "little kids" program, called Primary, and enters the youth program, called Young Men's. He's joined the YM's basketball team and is loving it! I've yet to see him play, but Danny has and says Bren is really enjoying it and the other boys are good sports ;) Another important thing that happens at 12 for the boys, is receiving the Priesthood. We are so proud of Brendan and all of his hard work and accomplishments to be worthy to receive the Priesthood. He was able to pass the Sacrament for the first time the Sunday that Ronan was blessed.

Last Sunday, Danny was able to bless Ronan, and it was a beautiful blessing. Ronan was pretty peaceful through it and even threw up a sign to show he was "chill" while I was taking pictures :) We were excited to have both our families there for it. Since there are so many of us now, we had to divide families up to take pictures...

Danny's family...

My family (minus 9)...and Gabriela...we couldn't find her and later realized she ran off to class! Can't discourage that choice :)

Free (cRaZy) Zoo Day

Tucson's Reid Park Zoo had a free zoo day last Saturday and it was insane! We haven't been to the zoo here in over a decade (at least!) and thought it would be a fun outing w/the kids. The crowd made us doubt our sanity, but it turned out to be fun overall and more importantly the girls had a blast!

Gabriela wanted to get a closer look at the giraffes and started to climb in. She saw nothing wrong with her idea...that girl is crazy :)

Hair

Ema seems to have the best of both worlds, curly and straight hair, depending on the day. Here she's sporting the "sweaty" look which produces tons of cute curls.
Just recently, her aunt Tricia helped her achieve the "Wesley" look. We think it's fab.

3 weeks

Here is Ronan at 3 weeks. I can tell he's filling out and I'm so sad! All my kids had rolls by 6 weeks, and it's coming too fast for me. We are thoroughly enjoying him though! He's a great baby, loves to eat and sleep. He also loves his sling :) Oh, and I made a couple cloth diapers the other day, size Newborn/Small, and I don't think they'll last very long, sigh...

Spring

It's warming up here in Tucson and the girls have had fun playing in the sprinklers in the backyard. Cajsa & Adison came for their spring break and my girls had a blast playing with her. I think Adison had fun too, despite Gabriela's overwhelming presence :)

Birthdays

Brendan turned 12 right before we left for California and Isa turned 10 while we were there. It was a good thing she likes Flan because that's what she got for her cake :)

California Dreamin'

Ronan did a whole lot of this...

while the rest of us enjoyed this...

a day at the beach with cousins, aunts, & uncles...

a (not so) quick trip to see the Hollywood sign in LA (and a really bad shot of Capitol Records that we happened upon due to insane traffic) because Danny hadn't seen it before...

a stop in Pasadena to see Abuelita...

a walk on the pier where Tricia got engaged!!...

hanging out at the pool at the condo...

one last walk on the pier with the kids to see the sunset on the ocean...it was FREEZING!!

2 weeks

It's always so hard for me to narrow down which pictures to post, so I end up making a lot of collages so that I can fit as many in as possible :) Also, someday I will make a book from our blog and I want to have all these in there. Oh, and since this is our last baby and it's my favorite stage, I'm finding I'm taking way too many pictures, but...oh well.
Love the smirk!

Cute up close of him awake & sleeping...I know, obviously :)
