Baby Birds...

Last week I was cleaning out our back porch (from all the nasty yellow pollen dusting) and found a bunch of sticks and junk in my jogging stroller. So, I dumped it out onto the grass and a hole in the middle of it caught my eye. I though it might be a nest, and sure enough, there were 3 baby birds on the grass.

Isa helped me to pick them up and carefully put the nest right back in my stroller! I felt sooo bad. We put it right back where we found it and within an hour or so the parents were back feeding the babies, phew!
They are getting big and their eyes are open now. I think they are only down to a few days left before they leave the nest. It's been fun watching them every day, getting bigger and getting louder.
Gabriela is especially loving it!

What precious tender moments those experiences bring. Thank you for sharing with us. We had a similar experience when our children were little. The mother bird was killed and we found her little nestling on the ground, which your Aunt Sharon promptly said she would raise. We kept it in a match box lined with cotton and she fed it bread and milk.
We love you. grandma & grandpa Hahn
