Well, I guess I knew this day was coming, but I don't think I could've ever been "prepared" for it. Yesterday, I was out running errands and Danny was home watching the girls, and in the 3 minutes he went to the bathroom, he came out to this...I tried the best I could to even out her new SHORT bangs that go WAY far back. It was looking pretty close to a mullet, so we tried pigtails and it looked a little better.
After I did the pigtails I noticed a rogue lock of hair. I remember seeing that a couple of weeks ago when I did her hair, but it was wet so there wasn't that much sticking up and so I thought it was still baby hairs. Now I realized she cut there as well.

Today I decided that the mullet wasn't cutting it, so I decided "off with your hair!". I think it's more proportionate now, but still makes me sad-I don't like bangs. I miss her "old" hair. I should be grateful though, that she didn't cut anything any shorter than it was. I've heard of little girls cutting right at the base of ponytails and pigtails, so for that I am grateful!

Elena, I think it looks darling! I too am not a fan of bangs. However, Emeline inherited her dad's AWESOME hair line and so bangs are a necessity! I would prefer no bangs, but no luck. Missed seeing you at church today! We really should hang out sometime!
Ha, ha, SO funny! (well, it is now, I know when Abbi does it, it won't be!) The new 'do looks cute on her. I still remember when you were about 3 or 4 and cut your hair! We lived in CA and we came over to see you and your new shorter hair. Good Luck keeping those scissors (and swords and violins and toothpaste and makeup...) away from her!
Elena, I can feel your pain, but Joseph did it to his own hair on hair cut night. Boy was I sore at him, he's 31 years old he should know better. I must admit that Gabriela looks extremely cute even with the bangs. Much better than Joseph did when he tried to butcher his hair.
Charlotte has cut her hair 2 times and both time the section was at most an inch long. Her bangs are still growing out and it has been almost a year. I just pull them back every day. I think her hair turned out really cute though.
I think she looks SO CUTE with that haircut!! I would be one of the ones who cute off a HUGE chunck right before pictures for kindergarten! Made for one ugly picture!!
